Pantai - Hoisin Sauce 435ml

Ho Sin sauce  (sosahoisin in thai) is a used in most Asian Countries, it has a thick fragrant texture, it can be used for glazing meats, stir fry’s or as a dipping sauce, most Europeans associate this with the classic Chinese dish – Crispy Duck Pancakes.


The word Hoi Sin is from the shortening of the original Chinese word for Seafood sauce - hói sīn jeung, although it has never contained any seafood ingredients. Hoisin sauce is made from the soy bean which is made into a paste and then fermented, it is then mixed with garlic, vinegar and sesame oil and spices to give it the classic taste, in Asian countries it is used in the same way as a barbeque sauce.


Soy bean can help reduce the risk of cardiovascular conditions, they also provide high fibre, vitamins & Minerals.

Fun Facts


During World War II, soybeans became important in both North America and Europe chiefly as substitutes for other protein foods and as a source of edible oil. During the war, the soybean was discovered as fertilizer due to Nitrogen fixation by the United States Department of Agriculture.  The soybean is first in cultivated Transcaucasia in Central Asia in 1876, by the Dungans. This region has never been important for soybean production
